About Chris
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with experience within the NHS, higher education and the charity sectors. I have performed short-term work (6-20 weeks) as a counsellor at the Maudsley Hospital in South London, as well as longer-term counselling (up to 60 weeks) within the charity sector.
I gained my Master's degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (MA) from the University of Roehampton in London. This qualification is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, of which I am a fully-accredited member: MBACP (Accred).
My other qualifications include an Higher Education Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling and Organisational Dynamics from Birkbeck College at the University of London and a Bachelor's Degree in Italian and Psychology from the University of Swansea. I have worked in inpatient services for an acute mental health ward at Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton and have responded directly to concerns of those struggling with distress volunteering for Sane, the mental health charity and answering 999 calls for the emergency services.
My experiences and training allow me to feel that I am in a first-hand position to understand how non-sensical and scary life can be - Let's work together to figure it out.
